PM Modi Will Bring Peace in Kashmir: Rajinikanth at WAVES Summit 2025

Superstar Rajinikanth made a powerful political statement during his address at the WAVES (World Alliance for Values, Ethics and Spirituality) Summit 2025, held in New Delhi, where he expressed strong confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ability to bring lasting peace to Kashmir.

The veteran actor and cultural icon spoke passionately about India’s journey through challenges, calling PM Modi “a transformational leader who has the resolve and spiritual strength to resolve the Kashmir issue once and for all.”

“Kashmir has suffered for decades,” Rajinikanth said. “But I believe under Modiji’s leadership, peace will not just return — it will be permanent. His vision is not only political, it is deeply rooted in the ethos of unity, compassion, and courage.”

A Call for National Unity

Rajinikanth, who is known for his spiritual leanings and measured political remarks, emphasized the need for collective national will to support the efforts of the government. “Modiji cannot do it alone,” he said. “We all, as citizens of Bharat, must rise above divisions and work for peace. Kashmir is not just a region; it is the crown of India.”

The actor’s remarks drew applause from global delegates and spiritual leaders present at the summit, which focuses on fostering dialogue between cultures and promoting peace through values-based leadership.

Backing PM Modi’s Initiatives

The statement from Rajinikanth comes at a time when the government has been ramping up efforts to boost development in Jammu & Kashmir through investments, education, and infrastructure projects post the abrogation of Article 370.

He praised the government’s recent initiatives in the Union Territory, including the growing emphasis on tourism, digital infrastructure, and youth employment. “These are signs of hope. Peace begins with progress and dignity,” he added.

Political Overtones

Though Rajinikanth has previously stayed away from directly endorsing any political party, his open support of PM Modi’s Kashmir vision is being seen by political observers as significant, especially ahead of key state elections.

BJP leaders were quick to welcome the comments. Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur, tweeted: “Rajinikanth ji speaks from the heart of every Indian. PM Modi is a symbol of decisive and inclusive governance.”

Closing With a Spiritual Message

Rajinikanth concluded his speech by quoting ancient Indian wisdom: “Where there is righteousness in the heart, there is beauty in the character. When there is beauty in the character, there is harmony in the home and peace in the nation.”

His remarks have since gone viral on social media, with many hailing him as a voice of reason and unity during divisive times.
